Vendor Spotlight ✦ Epoch Vintage

My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Epoch Vintage! I’m an almost 30 yr old who has just moved to Denver a little over six months ago, from South Florida. I am a single mom of an awesome 8 yr old who you’ll catch at most pop ups. She is my right hand lady and sure knows how to make our customers feel fabulous in their finds.

Back in high school, my boyfriend’s mom was extremely into thrifting and used to bring me along for the adventure. From that moment on, I was hooked. It was just a hobby for so long. A way for me to have some quiet time to myself and free my mind, while also finding cool things to fill my room and closet with.

About a year and a half ago, my first business venture came to a halt but my drive for something more never did. Vintage started really thriving in the Miami scene and that’s when the idea of turning my hobby into a business came about. I took my hobby and passion for helping others, created my website, and hoped for best! I began learning so much more about the environmental benefits as well as all of the down falls of fast fashion, and it quickly changed my perspective on how I saw/supported a lot of these huge brands we’ve all known to love so much. Now I get to see people’s faces light up when they come across something awesome in the shop and my heart instantly smiles. It’s really the best shit ever.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNIQUE OR RARE FIND THAT YOU’VE COME ACROSS?

The most unique find that I have come across would have to be this vintage beaded hand bag from the 1950’s. It was filled with mostly pearly white beads with a few extremely detailed flower designs in rose and pink colored beads. There was a thick, small handle which was also beaded - and it closed with this gorgeous gold and mighty hefty clip. I wish I had a picture, it was sold so quick at my first pop up ever!
